Happy First POOP DAY!

Chase turned 1 on Sunday and celebrated by eating POOP!
He has an obsession with the toilet. We try to be vigilant, but We had a disaster. I was making his birthday dinner and Nate and his dad were resting in the living room where Chase was playing with his new soft Tonka truck. A few minutes later Chase crawled into the kitchen where I was making bread sticks. He smelled terrible! I thought I would set him on Nate so he would sniff the messy diaper and change him. Nate took Chase up to his bedroom for a change and came down with a horribly disgusted look on his face. How I didn't notice the poop around the baby's mouth I don't know, but Chase did not have a messy diaper just stinky hands and mouth. When we went into the bathroom to investigate their was poo smeared every where! Bry Bry went potty and apparently didn't flush or close the seat. I spent dinner bathing Chase and bleaching down the bathroom while Nate entertained his parents. Nobody had a hearty appetite. Chase did make it out of the tub in time to eat his cup cake which I hope tasted better. My dad claims were are starving the poor kid. On Monday I told the pediatrician at his 1 year check up. Chase should survive the incident.

Home Work

Benjamin faithfully does his home work so he can play with Ryan or Caleb. Benajmin, unlike his mother, is an excellent speller and always seems to get 100% on his test. Benjamin likes to draw and play the piano. He is excited to take piano when he turns 8. He is sitting next to me and wants me to write that he likes to play in the snow. (It snowed last night) He says he wants to be an dentist, an artist, or a piano player. (I'm hoping for all three.)

Trimming The Tree

Markus and Matthew really got in to the spirit of things while decorating. They are very excited for Christmas. They are especially excited to have our cousins from California come to Utah for Christmas. They both have soccer and basketball mania. When they find out that the the Ipod touch was not an option they decided to ask for soccer cleats instead. They enjoy getting friends together and playing basketball or footsall at the Legacy Center.
Markus has his first basketball game Saturday. Matthew is awaiting his coaches phone call.

Christmas Fun!

Bryant and Benjamin baked sugar cookies with me. I was trying to teach them how to efficiently cut out the dough. It was cute to see their attempts to cut the shapes close together. The recipe came from Land O' Lakes Butter and boy were those cookies BUTTERY!

Chase Got All He Wanted For Christmas!

Chase got his two front (bottom) teeth just in time for Christmas! He already has great dental hygiene and we hope his big brothers follow his example. In this picture Chase was getting the royal daddy treatment. After a bath the little ones love daddy's occasional spa treatment. The treatment includes a warming blow dry, hair comb, teeth brushing/flossing and a nail trim.

Chase got his two front teeth in time for Christmas! He is already brushing those tiny things just poking out of his bottom gum. We hope his big brothers copy his good hygiene. When Nate bathes the boys he gives them the royal treatment. In this picture Nate had just taken Chase out of the tub for a spa treatment. A spa treatment includes daddy's famous warm you up blow dry, teeth brush and floss, and a nail trim.

Food Storage!

I dry packed about 600 pounds worth of food storage this week! This is one commandment that I can do perfectly...unlike the other ones where I keep messing up! (Not that I have done it perfectly yet) I feel so happy and at peace because it gives me security when I put forth effort in following counsel from living prophets. As you can tell, I am excited about food storage. If anyone out their needs help I would LOVE to help you rent the dry pack from the stake or get one from your stake. It is as easy as using an electric can opener. The Lindon cannery has all the supplies. Thanks to Diana Ware and my sister in law, Leesa R. Jones for getting me going on food storage.

Precious Chase

Chase was such a good sport this Halloween. He didn't even resist his costume..compliments of Claire, the princess of our neighborhood. It was fun to have a little girl for the evening. We went trick or treating and then to a party at grandma and grandpa smiths house. We ate pizza, had our fortunes told, ate doughnuts on a string blindfolded as couples, and won cool prizes. We left with movie tickets, Chili's gift certificate, and more. Grandpa and Grandma really spoiled us! The kids made witch hat cookies, played games, and even found a cackling witch at the end of the treasure hunt. Amy, my sister was thrilled when the guy she like called her last minute to go to a corn maze. We all ate too much junk food and had a great time laughing at our crazy costumes.

Benjamin in Little Cotton Wood Canyon

Benjamin loved our family hike! Grandma Jones showed us an amazing trail the goes around a beautiful pond. It was great because the boys could run off the trail and goof around by climbing rocks and crossing stumps, but the actual trail was paved so we could push Chase in the stroller. There were placards with interesting information about wild life and nature along the trail. As you can see from the picture, they captured BT's attention..

Bryant at itty bitty football

Bryant loves football! Even more fun was going to itty bitty football with Markus, Matthew, and Benjamin over UEA break. They cheered for him like he was in the NFL and Bryant LOVED it!
Bryant is funny to watch because he takes his practice very seriously. When he misses or can't catch someone to pull their flag he slams his fist and stomps his foot-not because he is frustrated, but because he is copying the drama of how he thinks a foot ball player should act. He has so much energy and excitement. He gives everything he does 110%.

Family Home Evening at the pumpkin patch

There is a fun patch in Lehi next to Fox Hollow Elementary and we picked them for family night. Too bad they were stolen off our steps one week later! Oh well.... :)

Chase at 5am

Chase is a nut! He always manages to get his legs stuck in the crib slats. Recently he got his head stuck under the couch. Poor little guy.

Bryant is Rich!

As you can see by the joy on his face, Bryant is thrilled with the money grandmama and garndpapa gave him for his birthday!

Bryant turned 4

On September 27th Bryant turned 4! He celebrated on $5. I took him and his buddy Gobby (Kaden) to get a happy meal at Mc Donald's and then swimming at the Legacy Center. Shelly, my friend, tended Chase so we had a great time playing at the pool. Gobby gave Bry a cow boy hat and bow and arrow set. Bryant was thrilled. It was a great addition to their make believe collection. He and Gobby plan to be cowboys when they grow up- so much for the song. On Saturday we had cup cakes and presents- war was the theme. We gave him a cap gun and army guys and the peaceful game of Candy Land.
